The Pale Blue Dot
Christina, Nisha, and I saw Neil deGrasse Tyson at The Merriam Theater last night.
The screen looked great and we were all excited!
He was charismatic, dynamic, and funny. He talked about culture, science, the value we place on discovery, Pluto, and much much more.
He closed by reading the Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan, which always gets me.
He did a long Q&A and then closed again by reading his 272 word essay inspired by The Gettysburg Address for the 150th anniversary of Lincoln's address. It was wonderful. I tried finding it online, but couldn't find it.
So glad I saw him in person; it was thought provoking and I find myself remembering various parts and am googling info and thinking about it.
